Dr. Pawan Gupta M.Ch. presently Director Surgical Oncology, MAX Institute of Cancer Care, Max HealthCare, Vaishali, Patparganj, and Noida is a trusted Onco-Surgeon par excellence with experience of more than 25 years and 11000 cancer surgeries. He has created more cancer winners with great quality and quantity of life. His surgical portfolio consists of head and neck cancers, thyroid, parathyroid, parotid and salivary gland, breast, esophagus and lungs, thorax, reconstructions, GI, and Gynaecology cancers. He is a pioneer in modernizing surgical oncology in some of the major hospitals in Delhi NCR.

He revitalized scarless surgeries, #3D Planning, and reconstruction for head and neck cancer patients with a functional and cosmetic outcome that makes his patients live with dignity and respect. His approach treat the patient as a whole gives physical, mental, and spiritual relief.

His engagement with patients evolved a patented instrument, TrisCaRe, for ORAL cancer and Sub-Mucous Fibrosis patients.

His talk “MAKING of CANCER WINNERS” at the Livestrong Global Summit in Dublin in August 2009 changed the way cancer needs to be addressed.

Has attended many International and National conferences as Chairperson/Speaker/Panellist. His workshops, CMEs, and educative motivational talks are sought by doctors and masses.

His exchanges at ROME at the TOBACCO CESSATION World Conference have impacted Tobacco Cessation the World over.

Dr. Pawan has published 30 papers in National and International journals and is actively involved in several research projects. Has written 6 books for common people and healthcare practitioners. National Convenor and Master Trainer for Tobacco Cessation courses under Gujarat University introduced for the first time in India. Have trained more than 1000 tobacco cessation specialists and Tobacco MARSHALs.

He is the Founder of ICanCaRe, an start-up social company initiated in 2017, Innovative enterprise for Cancer Care and Rehabilitation, Tobacco Cessation data-driven protocol-based intervention on ICanCaRe APP, Virtual Clinics, and ICanCaRe National Quitline.

He is Sr. Vice Chairman and National President of I CAN WIN FOUNDATION since 2008, initiated for the welfare of CANCER PATIENTS.

His work as a Cancer Surgeon, Social activist, motivational speaker and Author has been well recognized. He received the prestigious ICD International Award in 2007, Vivekananda Sister Margarette Award 2017 and Delhi NGO leadership Award 2017, AIECS award 2018, Asia Africa Leadership in Social Innovation 2019, MICC Innovation Award 2019, Rashtriya Prabasi Odia Paribar Award 2019.

PHILOSOPHY

Don’t just kill the disease, but make people handle it in a positive manner. He wants people to take cancer, just as a chronic illness and to diminish the demonic status that cancer enjoys. He plans to do so by empowering all with the knowledge, facts about cancer, early recognition of symptoms, sharing his professional expertise and experience, and with holding nothing.
He believes there is more than just treating cancer with surgery, drugs and radiotherapy. It requires a holistic approach and integration with alternate therapy.
